I love it when a piece of writing makes sense whilst making you smile. “When you plant lettuce, if it does not grow well, you don’t blame the lettuce.” I will be sharing this piece over and over again. Many children will be familiar with growing something at school and spending time working out the best conditions to help it grow. This piece doesn’t just describe how to offer Empathy to others, it also gives a clear glimpse as to how you can offer yourself Empathy. If you are not doing well, don’t blame yourself, it will have no positive effect at all. Try to understand and act from that place of understanding. Then you too can thrive, like a lettuce! 🥬
