“Hello.” * *Longer version. I’m lucky enough to have met many of the people who stop by here but I realise there are some people who I’ve yet to meet. I normally prefer to share the illustrated version of me zooming around on my hover board (who wouldn’t?!). But, I work with lots of amazing children and young people who continually challenge themselves to show up and be seen when choosing to remain invisible would be a much more comfortable choice. So I’ve decided to challenge myself to be more visible in my work (if we have met you may be enjoying the idea of me trying to make myself invisible. Invisibility is not in my ‘Wizard Skills Top 10’!). So, here I am, sat where I write. This writing bureau used to belong to my Grandpa and Grandma, Grandpa Joe and Grandma Josephine (yes, my Grandparents share their names with Charlie Bucket’s Grandparents in ‘Charlie and The Chocolate Factory’!). My name is Amy. I am a Counsellor and Psychotherapist and I specialise in working with children and young people. I was first called The Worry Wizard by my Godson, Jack. I was helping him with his Worries. Since then, I’ve started to write down the amazing things children and young people teach me about how to move from Worries to Wellbeing so that their ideas can help other children. My Grandparents will have written lovely things at this bureau so it feels the perfect place to write down everything I have learnt so far. Please always feel free to leave a comment or question. I’m here. #TheWorryWizard #fromWorriestoWellbeing #Wellbeing #MentalHealth #Worries #TheWorryWizard #Inthistogether
